Well, this was perhaps the best meal I’ve had in Galway (and there have been decades worth!). This was such considered food and plates, and all 4 of us left absolutely beaming. The gnudi, hake, and bavette were astoundingly delicious, as were the Shitake and tofu dumplings. Our wine and coffee equally perfect. Lovely service. It’s truly a pleasure to spend money on food that is as worth it as our meal was here.

Tasty food
Wife and I walked in for dinner on recommendation from locals. We were seated at a table that happened to be opened outside on the water, and the staff could not have been warmer or kinder in having us; although, I highly suggest a reservation, as we were lucky.
The staff may have been the friendliest I’ve encountered. Excited to have us, enthusiastic recommendations, enjoyed us, as Americans, and were genuinely thrilled to know how much we enjoyed our plates. With great local pub recommendations at the end of our stay.
We did not have a mediocre bite. Everything was sincerely incredible. They honey fried chicken is a staple that has been there since day 1, and for good reason. Order it. The oysters were also one of a kind, and the dessert was unique and balanced. Maybe my favorite of the trip. You’re able to try so much because their plating format is perfected, in my opinion.
As if I couldn’t rave further, one of the best cocktails in all of Ireland was had here. The pollen garnish was lovely and effective. Rúibín is top tier and we will, without a doubt, be returning on our next trip.
Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday without a reservation. Tables were all booked up, but we were able to be seated at the bar. It was lovely and the lads at the bar were all good craic.
We had the seabass, the mushroom & farro pie, and the fried chicken with bibimbap-style accompaniments. All were delicious. We didn't get any special drinks, but there was complimentary sparkling water which was also very good.
Note: the menu posted online is just an example and was substantially different from the menu of the day. This is because the dishes change frequently to use fresh fish and seasonal produce. They were happy to explain all the options and ingredients and made some small adjustments to suit particular tastes.
